Grapes for Good + Boxed Texas Wine!?

The dog days of summer… The best part about August in Austin? It just might be a crisp, cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We're working on a few things behind the scenes to get you connected with our favorite spots in ways that'll make your wallet (and your palate) happy. In the meantime, we’ll see you out there.

Ron Yates just launched The Get Together, the first Texas premium boxed wine. This isn't Franzia from our college days. It's a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Merlot (49%), and Petit Verdot (2%) from the Texas High Plains, crafted by the award-winning team at Spicewood Vineyards.

The 3-liter box equals four bottles, stays fresh for up to four weeks, and costs $50. It's made with 100% Texas grapes, no multi-region blending or compromise on quality. The move to bag-in-box isn't about cutting corners. As Yates puts it: "The Get Together box takes waste worries away while also reducing our costs of corks, bottles and capsules, savings we pass along to our customers."

Available now at Ron Yates Wines and Spicewood Vineyards, with limited quantities online at GetTogetherWine.com. Official launch party is Labor Day weekend, and each box purchase includes two free unbreakable stemless glasses.
