Friday feels different after the stormy week we've had.

Austin Energy called it the third worst storm in their history. Power lines down, trees blocking streets, and that particular Austin resilience on full display as neighbors helped neighbors get through it.

But here we are, it’s finally Friday evening. Memorial Day weekend gave us a taste, and now we're fully committed to the slow descent into summer.

Whatever gets you going this weekend, lean into it.

Must Go: House Wine's 17th Anniversary Rosé Garden Party: Here's what makes this one special: tastings of 15 rosés from around the globe (crisp, dry, sparkling, and everything in between), gourmet bites, and live entertainment at their new location. They're even doing house-made pink lemonade sangria and fresh strawberry-watermelon-lavender frosé.

The real move? Pre-order their special anniversary Bola "Savoir Faire" pizza with roasted fennel, red onion, and smoked mozzarella, or grab a fresh floral bouquet from Chateau Des Fleurs to complete the garden party.

This is House Wine's first anniversary celebration at their new spot, and they've mastered the art of the neighborhood celebration. No pretense, just great wine and the people who make this city what it is.

The Hill Country Galleria Wine & Food Festival: Remember when we mentioned this one last week? Tomorrow's your chance to experience the passport-style wine crawl at Hill Country Galleria. The event runs from 3:00-6:00 PM with general admission tickets at $60 tomorrow, featuring wine tastings from old world and new world regions plus culinary delights from The League, Tony C's, and Buenos Aires Café.

The Wine & Food Foundation puts this together, and proceeds benefit their philanthropic initiatives. Good wine, good food, good cause.
